Game Overview

Superfrog came out on the Amiga in 1993 from Team17. It was part of that wave of platformers that really pushed the colorful, fast-paced style the system was known for. You weren't just another character; you were a frog with a very specific, and very personal, mission.

You control the superfrog himself, hopping and dashing through levels to rescue a princess and collect coins. The main goal is straightforward: get to the end of each stage, but the real challenge is in hunting down every last coin and finding the many hidden bonus areas. The game gives you temporary power-ups, like a flying cape or invincibility, which let you access new routes or survive otherwise deadly hazards. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty can spike sharply, especially in the later worlds. It feels like a frantic, rewarding scramble where every jump and collected item matters.
