You control Superman, flying through side-scrolling levels to stop Darkseid's invasion of Metropolis. Signature mechanics include using Superman's heat vision and freeze breath at range, along with close-up punches and throws that let you hurl cars or enemies. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some enemy patterns require timing, and the screen-by-screen exploration keeps things simple. It feels like a straightforward brawler that lets you cut loose with Superman's powers for a little while.
