Play Surgeon, The Online
1985 Amiga game where players perform mouse-controlled surgeries, monitor vital signs, and complete timed procedures with increasing difficulty. Features isometric perspective and multiple medical cases.

Rainbow Arts released The Surgeon for the Amiga in 1985, a time when the platform was just beginning to show its graphical and audio capabilities. It was one of those early titles that felt experimental, trying to find a new kind of interaction beyond the typical arcade or adventure game. You weren't blowing up aliens or collecting treasure; you were performing surgery, which felt completely fresh and a little bit strange for its time.
You control a cursor with the mouse, guiding various surgical tools to operate on a patient viewed from an isometric perspective. Your main objective is to successfully complete a series of medical procedures, like removing a brain tumor or repairing a heart, all while carefully monitoring the patient's fluctuating vital signs displayed on screen. The game is entirely time-sensitive; you must work quickly but precisely, as mistakes or hesitation cause the patient's condition to rapidly deteriorate. It's a tense, methodical experience that makes you feel the weight of every decision your hand makes.
