Play SWIV Amiga Online
1991 Amiga shoot 'em up with vertical scrolling. Switch between helicopter (air) and jeep (ground) to fight enemies. Collect power-ups, face bosses.

SWIV came out on the Amiga in 1991 from publisher Random Access. It was a shoot 'em up that felt right at home on the platform, a time when fast action and smooth scrolling were the benchmarks. You controlled two distinct vehicles, a helicopter and a jeep, which you could switch between on the fly to handle different threats.
You pilot the helicopter for air combat, clearing the skies, and switch to the jeep to handle ground targets and tight corridors. Your main goal is simply to survive as long as possible, moving ever forward through enemy territory. The signature mechanics are the vehicle switching, the constant collection of weapon power-ups, and the screen by screen progression that leads to large boss encounters. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is unforgiving, demanding quick reflexes and smart weapon management. It feels like a constant, tense battle for survival where one mistake can end your run.
