Play Tag Team Wrestling Online
In Tag Team Wrestling, you control two wrestlers, switch between them, and try to pin your opponents or make them submit in fast-paced, chaotic matches.
Tag Team Wrestling came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1983, developed and published by Data East. It was one of the earlier wrestling games on the console, arriving before the genre really exploded in popularity. You could tell it was finding its footing, trying to translate the spectacle of wrestling into something playable on that hardware.
You control a team of two wrestlers, switching between them with a button press. The main goal is to win matches by pinning your opponent or forcing them to submit. Signature mechanics include building up a special meter by landing moves; when it's full, you can unleash a more powerful attack. The ring is small, and the action is confined to a single screen, which makes the pacing feel fast and sometimes claustrophobic. Matches can be surprisingly difficult due to stiff controls and aggressive AI. It feels like a scrappy, chaotic brawl where timing your strikes matters more than finesse.
