Tail 'Gator is one of those weirdly charming Game Boy platformers that somehow sticks with you. You play as this little alligator who swings his tail like a wrecking ball to smash enemies and break blocks—it’s way more satisfying than it sounds. The levels are short but packed with secrets, and the music’s got that classic chiptune bounce. I remember getting stuck on the underwater stage for ages because those jellyfish just wouldn’t quit.
It’s not the deepest game, but there’s something about the way it controls—snappy jumps, just the right amount of slide when you land—that makes it hard to put down. Natsume nailed the "one more try" feel back in '91. Still holds up if you dig retro platformers with personality.
