Game Overview
Tak 2 on the GBA is one of those sequels that actually gets it right—it keeps the weird, funny soul of the first game but throws in way more chaos. You're still playing as Tak, the world's most accident-prone shaman, but now you're hopping between the real world and these trippy dream realms where the rules keep changing. One minute you're turning into a chicken to peck through obstacles, the next you're using Juju magic to fling exploding fruit at enemies.
The platforming feels tighter here than in the first game, and the puzzles actually make you stop and scratch your head sometimes (in a good way). Also, the humor holds up—there's this one bit where Tak gets stuck in a giant bubble and just floats around complaining that's pure Nickelodeon nonsense. If you've got a soft spot for early 2000s cartoon energy and don't mind some janky GBA graphics, this one's a blast.
Just don't expect it to take itself seriously—half the fun is watching everything go completely off the rails.
