Play Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Jima II (Japan) Online
Hop on dinos, chuck axes at bees, and find hidden caves—this sequel gives you more ways to wreck Adventure Island than ever. That stegosaurus? Pure joy when it plows through enemies.

Hudson Soft released Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Jima II for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991. It was a time when platformers were plentiful, but this one stood out with its vibrant visuals and a surprising amount of depth for an NES title. You play as Master Higgins, a familiar face from the first game, but the island feels both new and dangerous.
You control Higgins through side scrolling levels, jumping on platforms and throwing axes or boomerangs at the many creatures in your path. Your main goal is to rescue your girlfriend, Tina, which means navigating through forests, caves, and underwater areas. The game introduces animal buddies, like a skateboarding dinosaur that lets you plow through enemies, and hidden warp zones that reward exploration. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty is real; one hit and you lose your weapon, two hits and you're back to the start of the stage. It feels frantic and rewarding when you finally memorize a tricky section and push further into the island.
