Play Team Yankee Amiga Online
1990 Amiga tank simulation. Command four platoons via split-screen. Five mission scenarios with Abrams M1, Bradley M2, and T-72 tanks. Features thermal imaging and realistic mechanics.

Team Yankee came out on the Amiga in 1990, developed by Digital Integration and published by Empire Software. It was part of that wave of serious, detailed military simulations that the platform handled so well, offering a more grounded alternative to the arcade-style action games of the time.
You command a company of modern armor, including M1 Abrams and M2 Bradleys, across a series of missions set in a hypothetical World War III. The game is played from a top-down perspective on a large, scrolling map, and your primary objective is to locate and destroy all enemy units, primarily Soviet T-72s and BMPs, while preserving your own forces. Two key mechanics define the experience: the use of a thermal imaging view to spot enemies through trees and at night, and a detailed damage model where individual tank components, like the gun or tracks, can be disabled. The pacing is deliberate and tense, demanding careful scouting and positioning, as a single ambush can quickly cripple your platoon. It feels like a genuine test of tactical patience and foresight.
