You control one of several fighters, each with a basic moveset, and face opponents in one-on-one battles. The main goal is to defeat each character in sequence to complete the arcade mode. The mechanics are stripped down: you have punch and kick buttons, and can perform special moves with simple directional inputs. Matches are fast, but the difficulty is uneven due to questionable hit detection and limited animation. Playing it feels like a rough, simplified echo of something much bigger.
