Play The Ant Bully Online

I picked up The Ant Bully for Game Boy Advance back in 2006, a time when licensed movie games were everywhere. It was published by Midway Games, and like a lot of those titles, it was a side-scrolling adventure that tried to capture the film's story. You play as Lucas, a kid who gets magically shrunk down to ant size as punishment for bullying an anthill.

You control Lucas through a series of levels, navigating the now massive terrain of the backyard. The main goal is to help the ant colony survive various threats, which involves a lot of platforming, combat with bugs using a spitwad shooter, and solving simple puzzles. You also get to ride wasps in some flying sections, which breaks up the ground action. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some jumps require precise timing. It feels like a decent, if unspectacular, effort to turn a movie into a playable experience.
