I remember picking up The Cat in the Hat for the Game Boy Advance back in 2003. It was developed by Digital Eclipse and published by Vivendi Universal Games, one of those many licensed platformers that filled the handheld's library. It felt very much of its time, a straightforward attempt to bring Dr. Seuss's world into a side scrolling adventure.
You control the Cat himself, navigating through the house and garden to clean up the mess before Mom returns. The gameplay involves a lot of jumping across unbalanced stacks of books and teetering household items, which gives the platforming a slightly precarious feel. You also spend time collecting scattered birthday cake components while avoiding the chaotic antics of Thing 1 and Thing 2, who zip around causing trouble. The difficulty is fairly gentle, aimed at a younger audience, but some of the timing-based jumps can be tricky. It feels like a light, bouncy trip through a familiar story.
