Game Overview
You play as Bruno, a little Ottifant who’s convinced his dad’s been kidnapped by aliens—because, well, kids have wild imaginations. The trail to rescue him? Jelly babies his dad dropped on the way to work. Classic.
It’s a side-scroller where you blast enemies with sweets (fired from Bruno’s trunk, naturally) or suck in objects like platforms to reach higher spots. The levels start tame—your house, the basement—but things get weird fast, like dodging killer plants and navigating construction sites that feel like jungles when you’re tiny.
Collecting three matching lollipops unlocks temporary powers: turn into Superfant and fly for a bit, or grab Speedy Shoes to zip through levels. The Game Gear version cuts some corners—no garden level, simpler secret rooms, and only two background tracks—but it’s still a charming, slightly chaotic trip through a kid’s overactive mind.
Just don’t expect the same polish as the Genesis original.
