Play The Pagemaster Online
You jump between book worlds—stomping haunted tomes in the horror section, then slashing pirate ropes in adventure land. The controls take a sec to click, but bouncing on angry dictionaries never gets old.
Remember that weird but kinda charming Macaulay Culkin movie where he gets sucked into a magical library? This is the Sega Genesis game based on it. You bounce between different book-themed worlds—one minute you're dodging ghosts in a horror section, the next you're swordfighting pirates in an adventure novel. The jumping feels a little stiff at first, but you get used to it. And yeah, you can totally stomp on enemies' heads like in Mario, except here you're crushing angry books and floating hands instead of goombas.
What's cool is how each world changes up the vibe completely. The horror section has these creepy piano stings when bats swoop at you, while the fantasy zone goes full rainbow colors with wizards chucking fireballs. It's not the deepest platformer out there, but there's something oddly satisfying about blasting through shelves of living books with magic attacks. Just don't expect the story to make much sense if you haven't seen the movie.
