Remember that weird mid-90s Macaulay Culkin movie where he gets trapped in a magical library? This is the SNES game adaptation, and honestly, it's way more fun than it had any right to be. You bounce between different book-themed worlds—one minute you're dodging ghosts in a horror section, the next you're swordfighting pirates in adventure land.

The controls feel a little stiff at first (this was 1994, after all), but once you get the hang of jumping on enemies' heads and tossing magic spells, it clicks. Some of the enemy designs are genuinely creative—I still have nightmares about those giant floating hands that try to grab you. The music's surprisingly good too, with each world having its own distinct vibe.

It's not the deepest platformer out there, but there's something charming about how it throws everything at the wall—fantasy castles, pirate ships, even Dr. Jekyll shows up at one point. Just don't expect Home Alone levels of polish.
