Play The Scorpion King - Sword of Osiris (U)(Venom) Online
Hack and slash through dungeons and deserts as the Scorpion King, battling sorcerers and collecting gems while avoiding traps in this action-packed GBA adventure.

I picked up The Scorpion King: Sword of Osiris on Game Boy Advance back in 2002, developed by WayForward. It was one of those licensed action games that showed up a lot on the system, based on the movie but doing its own thing. The GBA had a solid library of side-scrollers, and this one fit right in without trying to reinvent the wheel.
You control the Scorpion King, moving through screen-by-screen dungeons, ruins, and desert landscapes. Your main goal is to stop an evil sorcerer from resurrecting an ancient army, which means a lot of hacking and slashing with your sword, throwing scimitars at distant enemies, and navigating environmental traps. The combat feels heavy and deliberate; each swing connects with a solid thud, and you need to time your attacks to avoid taking cheap hits. You collect gems to upgrade your weapons and health, and the levels are designed with some light exploration, though they mostly push you forward. The difficulty is fair but can spike in later areas, especially with the screen-filling bosses. Itโs straightforward, but the responsiveness of the controls and the moody atmosphere make it satisfying to play through.
