Game Overview
If you remember the cheesy-but-fun Scorpion King movie, this GBA game nails that vibe—sword swings, ancient curses, and a kidnapped wife to rescue. You play as Mathayus, basically a beefy desert warrior with a grudge, hacking through six worlds full of traps, archers, and those annoying little enemies that pop up at the worst times.
The cool twist? That gauntlet on your arm. It starts off sluggish, but feed it enough magic gems (ripped from defeated bosses, naturally) and suddenly you're slicing through enemies like they're made of paper. First level feels a bit stiff, but once the upgrades kick in, the combat gets satisfyingly fast.
Fair warning: some platforming sections will make you curse Menthu more than the actual story does. Still, it's a solid movie tie-in—way better than it had any right to be.
