I picked up The Simpsons Road Rage for the Game Boy Advance back when it came out, a port of the console game that tried to bring the chaotic driving to handhelds. It didn't try to be groundbreaking; it was just another Simpsons game trying to fit a bigger experience onto a small screen.

You play as various characters from the show, driving around Springfield to pick up passengers and drop them off before the timer runs out. The main objective is to earn enough money to buy out the transit company, which means completing fares over and over. Signature mechanics include switching between different characters, each with their own vehicle handling, and navigating through familiar locations like Evergreen Terrace and the Nuclear Power Plant. The pacing is repetitive, and the difficulty comes from tight time limits and awkward controls. It feels janky and rushed, but there's a dumb charm in causing traffic jams and hearing the characters complain.
