Game Overview

Remember that old Thundercats game on the Amiga? It’s basically Ghosts 'N Goblins but with Lion-O swinging a sword instead of Arthur in his boxers. You start off pretty basic—just you, a blade, and a bunch of Mumm-Ra’s weird minions like dwarves and bats that really don’t want you to win.

Smashing crates and pots gives you better weapons, which is good because some of the later enemies are absolute sponges. The boomerang’s my favorite—lets you hit stuff from a distance instead of getting up in their faces. Each level’s a straight left-to-right run, but later on, you can take different paths so replaying actually feels worth it.

And yeah, you get scored on how fast you clear levels and how many things you’ve stabbed, so if you’re the competitive type, there’s that. It’s janky in that classic Amiga way, but if you grew up with the show, it’s weirdly satisfying to finally clobber Mumm-Ra’s goons yourself.
