You control the Tick, a massive, nigh-invulnerable superhero in blue spandex, as you brawl through side-scrolling stages. Your main goal is to punch and throw your way through hordes of goons, moving from left to right until you reach the stage boss. Signature mechanics include your wild, flailing punches that send enemies flying across the screen, and the ability to pick up and throw certain objects or villains at others. The pacing is fast and chaotic, with enemies swarming in from all sides, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later levels.
