Game Overview

You play as Sam Fisher, the guy who sneaks into places so dark even the shadows are nervous. This GBA version keeps the spirit of the big console Splinter Cell games—lots of creeping through vents, sticking to the dark corners, and holding your breath when guards walk past. The missions follow the same story, but it’s a side-scroller here, which actually works surprisingly well. You’ll still get those tense moments where you’re clinging to a pipe just above some oblivious guard’s head.

There’s also first-person sniper sections that break things up, though aiming on the GBA’s tiny screen can be a bit of a pain. The real fun is in figuring out how to ghost through a level without alerting anyone—turning off lights, hacking keypads, and occasionally knocking out a guy who wandered too close. It’s not as flashy as the console versions, but it nails that feeling of being a one-man stealth machine.
