Game Overview
So Tombs & Treasure is basically the NES remake of this old computer game called Taiyō no Shinden: Asteka II, but with some cool upgrades. The story's way more fleshed out now—you're helping this archaeologist's daughter track down her missing dad, who vanished while hunting for some mythical Mayan artifact called the Sun Key. Classic adventure setup, but with a twist: you've got two companions tagging along, each with their own skills. The daughter can play music (handy for puzzle-solving), and Jose the guide can shove heavy stuff around. Makes some of the tomb exploration way less frustrating than the original.
Oh, and they added RPG elements too—you get XP from solving puzzles and the occasional turn-based demon fight. Combat's rare, but when it happens, you'll wish you'd grinded a bit more. Nothing worse than getting wrecked by some ancient guardian because you skipped too many side puzzles.
