Top Gear Rally on N64 is one of those racing games that feels surprisingly good for its time. The cars handle with just enough weight to make turns satisfying without being punishing, and the tracks have this nice mix of tight corners and long stretches where you can really push the speed. I remember spending way too long tweaking my car’s setup—turns out lowering the suspension a bit helps on those bumpy dirt sections.

The weather actually changes how you drive, too. Rain makes everything slick, and you’ll catch yourself oversteering if you’re not careful. Some of the later tracks get pretty wild, with jumps and narrow paths that’ll test your reflexes. It’s not as flashy as modern racers, but there’s something about the way it plays that keeps me coming back every now and then.
