Remember that old NES Olympic game where you'd mash buttons until your thumbs hurt? Track & Field II is basically that, but with way more events. You've got the usual suspects like hurdles and pole vault, but then it throws in weird stuff like Tae Kwon Do and skeet shooting. The fencing feels janky at first (why does my guy lunge like he's drunk?), but hammer throwing is oddly satisfying once you get the timing down.

It's one of those games where you'll fail spectacularly at first—my first dive attempt looked like a belly flop—but somehow that just makes nailing a perfect triple jump even sweeter. Just don't play it right before bed unless you want Olympic-themed dreams about missing the horizontal bar.
