Game Overview

Transarctica on the Amiga is one of those weird, ambitious games that sticks with you. You're in charge of a massive armored train in a frozen post-apocalyptic world, managing fuel, trading goods, and occasionally getting into scraps with rival factions. The pixel art nails that grim, dieselpunk vibe—rusty metal, snowstorms, and claustrophobic train interiors.

At first, it feels like a survival sim—you're constantly balancing coal consumption against how far you can push your crew. But then you realize there's this whole political layer, where picking the wrong faction to trade with can bite you later. The combat's janky in that classic Amiga way, but somehow it works when you're desperately ramming bandit trains in the middle of a blizzard.

It’s not for everyone, but if you like slow-burn strategy with a side of bleak atmosphere, this one’s a cult classic for a reason.
