Topaz’s hair-climbing level is bizarre but weirdly satisfying, dodging frizz monsters while untangling knots like some tiny hairdresser ninja. Ruby’s dance-off is basically DDR-lite, and Amethyst’s flying spell shooter? Surprisingly decent for a GBA sidescroller.
The memory match and bubble-popping games feel like filler, but the real surprise is how much the difficulty slider matters—hard mode actually makes some of these minigames brutal. Story mode’s just an excuse to string the games together with cheesy cutscenes, but hey, it works.
