Turrican on the Amiga is one of those games that looks simple at first—run, jump, blast everything—but then suddenly you're knee-deep in chaos, scrambling to swap between weapons while dodging enemies from every angle. Morgul, this three-headed nightmare demon, is making people’s bad dreams real, and you’re the only one who can stop it.

The levels are huge, almost too big sometimes—I got lost more than once hunting for hidden power-ups or secret paths. And those weapons? You start with a basic blaster, but soon you’re juggling laser beams, ricocheting fireballs, and this ridiculous spread shot that turns you into a walking bullet storm. Half the fun is figuring out which one works best against the screen-filling bosses.

It’s tough, but not unfair. Just expect to replay a few sections until you nail the timing. The music’s also killer, all synthy and intense—perfect for when you’re clinging to your last life, desperately trying to reach the next checkpoint.
