UFO: Enemy Unknown on the Amiga is one of those games that looks simple at first glance—just a bunch of little soldiers and some pixelated aliens—but then suddenly it’s 3 AM and you’re still trying to figure out how to stop that last Sectoid from flanking your squad. The turn-based combat is tense, and losing a soldier you’ve had since the first mission actually hurts. The geoscape management between missions? Surprisingly addictive. You’ll scramble to balance research, funding, and intercepting UFOs before they disappear. The Amiga version holds up surprisingly well, even if the controls take a minute to get used to. Just don’t blame me when you realize you’ve spent your entire weekend on this.
