Before each game, you tweak your team's uniform color (white, green, gray, or red—always went red for intimidation), match length (those "45 minute" halves fly by), and formation. The 4-3-3 vs 4-4-2 choice actually matters when you're trying to break through defenses. On the field, it's all about timing those button presses—hold A too long on a shot and it sails over the net, tap B at the right moment for a crisp pass. Manual goalie control is brutal but satisfying when you pull off a diving save.
