Ultimate Soccer Manager on the Amiga is one of those games where you spend half your time actually managing your team and the other half just poking around your virtual office. Instead of boring menus, everything’s laid out like a real manager’s workspace—click the TV for match stats (it even looks like old-school teletext), check the desk for contracts, or peek at the newspaper for league gossip.
You’ve got all the usual stuff—picking lineups, tweaking tactics, begging the board for stadium upgrades—but the real charm is the shady extras. Feeling desperate? Slip a bribe to the ref or bet against your own team (not that I’d ever do that… probably). The Italian league add-on’s a nice touch if you’re tired of English football, though good luck keeping your finances in the black either way. Just don’t blame me when your star striker gets poached.
