Universe_Disk6 came out in 1985 for the Amiga, developed by a small team whose name I can't quite recall. It was one of those early space exploration titles that tried to do a lot with the hardware at the time, offering a sense of scale that felt ambitious even if the graphics were simple. You pilot a starship through a procedurally generated galaxy, trading resources between systems to earn credits while engaging in real-time combat with pirates or hostile aliens. The economy shifts based on your actions and random events, which means no two trading runs play out the same. It's not an easy game; you have to manage fuel, repairs, and your bank balance carefully to avoid getting stranded or destroyed. Flying through those star systems gives a genuine feeling of lonely, open-ended adventure.
