So Universe is this weird little MS-DOS gem where you play as Boris, some unlucky guy who messes with his uncle’s sci-fi gadget and gets yeeted into a Star Wars-knockoff future. Next thing you know, everyone’s calling you the "Chosen One" destined to overthrow an evil space emperor—which, honestly, feels like a lot to put on a guy who was just tinkering with his relative’s junk.

You hop between planets and space stations, meeting aliens that range from "kinda helpful" to "definitely gonna stab you." The worlds are janky but charming, like someone mashed together a bunch of ’90s sci-fi tropes and called it a prophecy. Combat’s clunky, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about blasting your way through Neiamises’ goons while figuring out which of your new "allies" might actually betray you later.

It’s got that classic DOS vibe where half the fun is laughing at the absurd dialogue, but you’ll still catch yourself getting weirdly invested in Boris’ fate. Just don’t expect the controls to hold your hand.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
