Urusei Yatsura - Lum No Wedding Bell [hM03] is an NES platformer where you play as Ataru, trying to win back Lum after (predictably) messing things up. The controls are stiff, like most early platformers, but the charm comes from the weird obstacles—expect to dodge flying oni, jump over random UFOs, and deal with Lum zapping you when you screw up.
The sprites are tiny and flickery, but they nailed Lum’s expressions when she’s pissed at you. The music loops fast, and after a while, it either gets grating or weirdly nostalgic, depending on your tolerance for NES-era sound chips.
It’s short, frustrating in spots, and definitely feels like a cash-in on the anime. But if you’re into retro games or Urusei Yatsura, it’s a weird little time capsule. Just don’t expect anything deep.
