Game Overview

Virus on the Amiga is one of those games that looks simple at first—until you realize how much is actually going on. You’re piloting this little ship over a weird, quilt-like landscape, trying to stop aliens from spreading a deadly infection. The longer you take, the more of the planet gets infected, and your score tanks. So yeah, no pressure.

Flying feels surprisingly physical—you’ve got to manage thrust, height, and direction all at once, and if you mess up, gravity’s happy to slam you into the ground. The scanner helps track aliens, but half the challenge is just not crashing into trees while you’re lining up shots. It’s chaotic in the best way.

Honestly, the 3D effect still holds up, and the whole thing has this tense, almost puzzle-like vibe beneath the shooter mechanics. Just don’t blame me when you realize you’ve been hunched over the keyboard for an hour trying to save one more patch of land.
