Play War 2410 Online
You command tanks and mechs across grid maps where every move counts—hide in forests for cover, bait enemies into counterattacks, and pray your planes don’t get stuck fighting ground units.
War 2410 is one of those SNES strategy games that flew under the radar—probably because it looks like a sci-fi Famicom Wars at first glance. But it’s got its own weird charm. You’re basically cleaning up a mess caused by rogue genetic experiments: orcs, cyborgs, and super-soldiers all duking it out on grid-based battlefields.
The first thing you’ll notice is how stripped-down it feels. No unit upgrades, no base-building—just you, a preset army, and a map full of enemies. Tanks rumble across plains, mechs stomp through forests (which, by the way, actually matter—hiding in trees gives your guys a defense boost), and planes buzz overhead, useless against anything that isn’t also airborne. Every attack triggers an automatic counter if the enemy can reach you, so positioning is everything. Mess up, and that cheap infantry unit you left exposed will get shredded by a chrome-plated android.
It’s not deep, but there’s something satisfying about the simplicity. You either wipe out the enemy or capture their HQ, and that’s it. Just don’t expect any fancy surprises—what you see in the first mission is pretty much what you get for the whole game.
