Play Water World (Europe) Online
Skim across toxic waves on a hydroplane, blasting rafts and weaving through wreckage before the chaos swallows you whole. It's one of those Game Boy gems that plays faster than it looks.

Water World for the Game Boy came out in 1990, developed by Rare and published by Tradewest. It was part of that early wave of portable games where developers were still figuring out how to translate action-heavy concepts to the small screen, often with mixed but interesting results.
You pilot a small hydroplane across a flooded, hazardous world, shooting enemy rafts and dodging obstacles like wreckage and mines. The main goal is to survive each stage, rescuing survivors and gathering supplies while fending off constant attacks. The game uses screen-by-screen progression, with each area presenting new threats and narrow passages to navigate. Combat is straightforward but relentless, requiring quick reflexes to clear a path and avoid taking damage. The pacing is fast and unforgiving, with little room for error. It feels tense and immediate, like you're constantly balancing aggression with survival just to make it a little farther each time.
