Play WCW Main Event Online
Pick Sting, mash buttons until someone takes a piledriver, and argue with your friend about whether that last pin totally counted. Pure Game Boy wrestling chaos.

WCW Main Event came out for the Game Boy in 1991, developed by Funky Developments. It was one of the early attempts to bring wrestling to a handheld, a time when portable games were often simpler, scaled down versions of their console counterparts. You got a roster of WCW stars, but the experience was definitely built for quick matches on the go.
You pick a wrestler like Sting or Ric Flair and step into the ring against a computer opponent or a friend via link cable. The main goal is to win matches by pinfall or submission. You punch, kick, and grapple, building up a special meter to unleash a wrestler's signature move. The action is confined to a single screen, so there's no rope running or elaborate ring exits. Matches can feel a bit sluggish, and the controls take some getting used to, but there's a straightforward charm to just trading moves. It feels like a basic, no frills brawl that captures the spirit of wrestling in its most essential form.
