Game Overview

Command & Conquer is that classic MS-DOS RTS where you're scrambling to build up a base, mine weird glowing green crystals (Tiberium, because of course it's called that), and pump out tanks before the other guy does. The GDI feels like playing it safe—their stuff hits hard but costs a ton, while Nod's all about swarming with cheap units and sneaky tricks. First time I played, I went GDI and got steamrolled because I didn’t realize how fast Nod can spam infantry.

Those live-action cutscenes are hilariously over-the-top—think grainy footage of actors in plastic armor yelling about global domination. The missions start simple (just survive!), then suddenly you're juggling refineries, power plants, and a dozen different unit types. Multiplayer was wild for its time, though good luck getting it running smoothly now. The N64 version looks nicer but cuts the FMVs, which is honestly a crime.

Still holds up if you can handle the jank. Just don’t forget to build more harvesters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
