Command & Conquer came out in 1995 for MS-DOS, developed by Westwood Studios. It was one of the defining real-time strategy games of its era, arriving on computers when the genre was still finding its footing. The game presents a near-future conflict between two factions, the Global Defense Initiative and the Brotherhood of Nod, through a mix of gameplay and full-motion video sequences.

You control all military and economic operations for your chosen side, building a base from a construction yard, harvesting the resource Tiberium, and training infantry and vehicles to assault the enemy. The main objective is to destroy the opponent's base and production capabilities. Signature mechanics include managing a constant flow of resources to fund your army and the fog of war that hides enemy movements until you scout an area. The pacing is aggressive, often demanding quick decisions to counter enemy rushes. It feels like a tense, high-stakes game of chess played with tanks and commandos.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
