Play Command & Conquer: The Covert Operations Online

Command & Conquer’s sneaky expansion throws you into 15 brutal missions—chem troopers ambush you, SSM launchers shake up fights, and those tiny maps make every tank feel precious. Still got PTSD from Nod’s dirty tricks.

Game Overview

Command & Conquer: The Covert Operations is that brutal little expansion that kicked my butt back in the day. It’s not here to hold your hand—those 15 new missions (split between GDI and Nod) are meaner than the base game, with trickier setups and nastier surprises. I remember stumbling into the Nod missions first and getting wrecked by chem troopers before realizing I should’ve maybe warmed up with GDI.

Fun thing: some units that were multiplayer-only in the original finally show up in single-player here, like Nod’s sneaky SSM launchers. They change how you approach fights, especially when the game throws you into those tight, resource-starved maps where every tank counts. And if you’ve got friends (or enemies), the 10 new multiplayer maps are perfect for backstabbing each other over who gets the last Tiberium field.

Works with both the original and Gold Edition—just don’t expect a friendly welcome. This one’s for players who thought the main game needed more teeth.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
