Play Command & Conquer (Beta) Online
Harvesting tiberium with chunky little sprites, wrestling the Genesis controller to rush tanks in this weird, grid-based take on C&C—it's janky but weirdly charming.

Ever wonder what Command & Conquer would've been like if it actually made it to the Genesis? This weird little beta is your answer—a chunky, stripped-down version of Tiberian Dawn that somehow still feels like C&C, just through a 16-bit filter. You’re still harvesting tiberium and rushing tanks, but everything moves in this janky, grid-based way that makes you wrestle with the controller more than you’d expect. The sprites are adorable though—tiny flame tanks! Blocky commandos!
It’s clearly unfinished (good luck finding a full campaign), but there’s something charming about how hard it tries to cram PC RTS chaos into a console. The music’s a surprisingly decent Genesis-style remix of the original tracks, and watching NOD and GDI duke it out in pixel form never gets old. Not exactly balanced, not exactly smooth, but if you’ve ever wanted to yell "KIROV REPORTING" while mashing a D-pad, this is your holy grail.
Honestly, it’s less a game and more a museum piece—but for C&C nerds, that’s enough.
