Play Missile Command Online
Frantically tap to launch missiles from two silos, trying to intercept incoming warheads before they flatten your cities—that split-second panic when three missiles hit at once never gets old. The Game Boy’s tiny screen makes every pixel of destruction feel personal.

Missile Command on the Game Boy was a 1990 release from Atari, bringing the arcade cabinet's tense atmosphere to the handheld. It arrived during a period when many classic arcade experiences were being adapted for portable play, trading some visual spectacle for the convenience of gaming anywhere. The hardware limitations meant the familiar, colorful explosions were rendered in stark black and white, but the core urgency of the original remained intact.
You control a crosshair, moving it with the D-pad to aim and pressing a button to fire anti-missiles from one of two bases. Your objective is to protect six cities at the bottom of the screen from an endless barrage of descending missiles and other threats. Key mechanics include managing your limited ammunition, which must be replenished by letting a base recharge, and dealing with smart bombs that split into multiple warheads mid-flight. The pacing is relentless, with the difficulty ramping up quickly as more complex attack patterns appear. It feels like a constant, losing battle against an inevitable tide of destruction.
