You get a decent selection of wrestlers from that era, each with their own basic move sets and signature taunts.
You control a wrestler from a top-down perspective, moving around the ring to grapple, punch, and perform special moves. The main goal is to win matches by pinfall or submission, either in singles or tag team bouts. Key mechanics include building up a super meter for powerful finishers and using weapons like chairs when the referee isn't looking. The pacing is a bit slow, and the controls can feel unresponsive at times, making it harder to chain moves together smoothly. It feels like a clunky but earnest attempt to capture the energy of a wrestling match on the SNES.
