When Two Worlds War is one of those classic Amiga strategy games that feels like it should’ve gotten more attention. You’re thrown into this sci-fi conflict between two factions—humans and aliens—and the whole thing plays out like a mix of turn-based tactics and resource management. At first glance, it looks simple, but then you realize how deep the unit balancing goes. Some of those alien troops? Brutal if you don’t counter them right.
The pixel art has that late '80s charm, all chunky and colorful, and the soundtrack nails the tense atmosphere. I remember getting stuck on one mission where my human forces kept getting wiped out until I figured out the right mix of tanks and infantry. Classic Amiga difficulty—no hand-holding here.
If you dig old-school strategy with a bit of a learning curve, this one’s a hidden gem. Just don’t expect the aliens to go easy on you.
