Wiz 'n' Liz is this weirdly charming Amiga platformer where you play as two magicians trying to round up their escaped rabbit-like "wabbits" after a potion mishap. Instead of fighting enemies, you're mostly hopping around colorful levels, grabbing wabbits before time runs out—which sounds simple until you realize you also have to collect floating letters to spell out a magic word at the top of the screen. Mess up the order, and you’re stuck chasing letters while the clock ticks down.
The real fun starts when you finish a level and toss all the fruit you’ve collected into a cauldron. Sometimes you get points, sometimes you trigger a goofy mini-game or a bizarre visual effect—it’s completely unpredictable. And if you’re about to run out of time, this glowing orange orb pops up like a lifeline, giving you an extra 30 seconds if you’re quick enough to grab it. The whole thing has this playful, almost chaotic energy that makes it stand out from other platformers of the era.
It’s one of those games where you either love the quirky rhythm or find it frustratingly random—but either way, you won’t forget it.
