Game Overview

World Games is one of those classic Amiga sports compilations where you get to try your hand at some seriously quirky events—like log rolling and sumo wrestling—with that old-school arcade feel. The controls are simple but take a little practice, especially when you're trying not to wipe out on the barrel jump or get thrown off a bull in two seconds flat.

My first time playing, I got way too confident with the caber toss (it’s just flipping a giant log, right?) and immediately faceplanted. The skiing event feels surprisingly smooth, though, and sumo wrestling is just chaotic fun. The Master System version cuts it down to four events, so if you want the full weirdness, the Amiga’s the way to go.

It’s not the deepest sports sim, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about nailing a perfect cliff dive after a few clumsy attempts.
