Play World Ice Hockey Online
Pick a team, drop the gloves, and chase that hyperactive puck in tight top-down matches—tournament mode if you're brave, quick games if you just wanna throw some hits.

World Ice Hockey came out for the Game Boy in 1991, developed by TOSE and published by Nintendo. It was part of that early wave of sports titles trying to capture the feel of a fast game on a small, monochrome screen, a straightforward attempt to bring hockey into your pocket without much fuss.
You control a team of five players, skating up and down the ice to shoot the puck into the opponent's net. The main objective is to win matches in a tournament or exhibition mode. Signature mechanics include body checking opponents to steal the puck and executing different shot types, like slap shots, by holding down the button. The game moves at a brisk pace, and the AI can put up a decent fight, making you work for every goal. It feels satisfying to finally set up a clean breakaway and score after a series of frantic passes.
