Play WWF Raw on GB Online
Throwing pixelated wrestlers into the ropes feels clunky at first, until you land that perfect chair shot behind the ref’s back—then the chaos clicks. Tag matches turn into glorious button-mashing disasters.

WWF Raw on Game Boy came out in 1994 from Acclaim Entertainment. It was one of the few wrestling games on the handheld, a time when portable sports titles were usually simpler than their console counterparts. You got a roster of WWF stars like Bret Hart and Yokozuna, all rendered in that classic, chunky pixel style the Game Boy was known for.
You control a wrestler, moving left and right to grapple, punch, and execute basic slams. The main goal is to win matches, either by pinfall or submission, to climb the rankings. Signature mechanics include building a special meter for a powerful finisher move and the ability to illegally use weapons when the referee is distracted. The pacing is slow, the controls are stiff, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly. It feels like a rough but earnest attempt to capture the spectacle of wrestling on a tiny screen.
