Play X-Men 2 – Clone Wars Online
Pick your mutant—Wolverine shreds enemies up close, Nightcrawler teleports past hazards, Magneto hurls metal like a boss. The Phalanx invasion turns every level into a chaotic 90s comic splash page.

Game Overview
X-Men 2: Clone Wars on the Genesis is one of those sequels that actually improves on the original. You’ve got the Phalanx—these weird techno-organic aliens—trying to take over Earth, and of course, it’s up to the X-Men to stop them. The side-scrolling action feels familiar if you played the first game, but now there’s way more variety in characters.
Picking your mutant is half the fun—Wolverine slashes through enemies like always, but Nightcrawler’s teleporting and Gambit’s charged-up cards change how you approach fights. Magneto’s even playable, which feels like a weird but cool bonus. The levels get pretty wild, too, with some serious 90s comic book energy in the backgrounds and boss fights. It’s not perfect (some hit detection feels off), but it’s way more polished than the first game.
If you’re into classic beat-’em-ups or just love the X-Men, this one’s a solid pick for the Genesis library.
