Play XDR - X-Dazedly-Ray (Japan) Online
Neon bullets fill the screen the second you start—dodge mechs, weave through lasers, and try not to blink as your ship barely slips between the chaos. That soundtrack? Pure '80s anime on steroids.

XDR - X-Dazedly-Ray is one of those Genesis games that somehow slipped under the radar, which is a shame because it’s pure, unfiltered shooter chaos. The second you start, the screen explodes with neon bullets, giant mechs, and a soundtrack that sounds like someone cranked an '80s anime OST to 11. It’s fast—like, "miss one dodge and you’re toast" fast—but in the best way possible.
What I love is how it doesn’t bother with tutorials or hand-holding. You jump in, your ship moves like a dream, and suddenly you’re weaving through bullet hell while lasers slice across the screen. It’s got that classic Japanese shooter feel where everything’s over-the-top but weirdly balanced—even when it feels impossible, you know it’s just your reflexes needing to catch up.
If you’ve burned through the usual suspects like Thunder Force and want something with the same energy but a little more… delirious, this is it. Just be ready to hit retry a lot. The first level alone will either hook you or break you.
