Dodging laser fire from giant mechs while chiptune synths blast—this unlicensed NES shooter feels like Contra’s weird cousin who only watches bootleg anime. The third boss will wreck you, but you’ll keep hitting start anyway.

Game Overview

Xing Ji Zheng Ba is one of those weird, unlicensed NES games you stumble across and think, "Wait, how have I never heard of this?" It’s a side-scroller with this rough-but-charming sci-fi vibe—like someone mashed up Contra and a bootleg anime. The controls are actually decent (a miracle for knockoff NES games), and the bosses hit hard in that satisfying "throw your controller" kind of way.

Don’t expect a deep story—just run, jump, and shoot through levels that feel like they were designed by someone who really loved Blade Runner but only had 8 bits to work with. The music’s weirdly catchy too, in that tinny NES way. If you’re into obscure retro stuff, this is a fun little time capsule. Just don’t blame me when you get stuck on the third level.
